Kill A Painted Pony

Annie Oakes restores carousel horses by day, and as Annabelle Oaklee, shoots guns and throws knives at night. A sharpshooter and trick rider she travels the rodeo circuit with her American paint horse, Target, and a vintage Harley-Davidson motorcycle in a horse trailer. Every night in her show she invites a volunteer from the audience. When the man who steps out of the stands during her performance in Cheyenne turns out to be the former boy-next-door she was in love with as a teenager, she knows something’s wrong. Kieran Hawes is now an investigator with WRAITH, a privately funded law enforcement organization. He’s trying to put an end to the ring passing ‘Painted Pony’, the newest street drug through circles within the rodeo. Who in her rodeo family would take such a chance and why is one of them out to kill Annie?
